The face of education is changing. Today, a basic proficiency in the local languages, math and science are no longer enough. In a world where the border lines have blurred, countries and corporations are becoming more diverse than ever, which means that education needs to also take on a global approach. With our sights set on the future, the Yayasan Tenaga Nasional (YTN) created the Study Abroad Program for YTN scholars from UNITEN and public universities.
The Study Abroad Program is an internationalisation programme by YTN for YTN scholars. YTN encourages students to participate in this programme as it offers a unique opportunity for students, both undergraduates and postgraduates, to undergo a process of interaction which will broaden their educational and life experiences. Its aim is to produce a group of worldly, foresighted students that are capable of competing in the global sphere. These students will also play an important role in enhancing the international branding and identity of YTN, TNB, UNITEN and the universities they are attending.
We live in a time where an understanding of different cultures, world history and global issues are just as important as knowing how to read and write. In order for our scholars to get ahead of the global job market, we have to prepare them for what's to come. A global education serves to not only broaden their horizons, mould them into global citizens, but also cultivate their thinking and problem solving skills.
Prospective students must have completed Year 2 of their Bachelor’s Degree, with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 to apply. As part of the programme, successful candidates stand to receive funding for airfares, school fees, visa, travel insurance and living allowances for the duration of your exchange at your chosen university and country.
If you are interested in applying for the Study Abroad Program, simply send in your application through YTN before the closing date.
